Top Moments of 2018 - Another Great Year
Clint Taylor
I don’t spend too much time looking back, as I am always excited to look forward at what is ahead of me and all the opportunities that are out there waiting to be taken. However, I do like to take a moment each year just to share some of the great times I have had for the previous year. So let’s get started with my top moments from 2018.
Pau Hana Endurance on the Devils River
When you go to the Devils River, there is a good chance you are going to have one of the best fishing trips of the year. Although the Devils River doesn’t always make my top spot, it is always very high on the list and this year it came in as my top moment from 2018.
I had the opportunity to go to the Devils River with my Dad in the spring of 2018. I took my Pau Hana Endurance and my Dad took out a Jackson Kayak Big Tuna to paddle the Devils River with. Me and my dad had a lot of adventures on this trip…some we wish didn’t happen too, but that is life. If you could predict everything there wouldn’t be much excitement.
We had a lot of fishing success and the water was great quality - cool, clear and clean. It was not doubt an amazing time and I can’t wait to go back to the Devils River again.

108 Degrees on the Brazos River…and a Big Snake
I typically only go fishing for bass, but every once and a while I stumble across some unexpected catches such as a big snake. On this trip to the Brazos River I had a lot of fun. The weather was typical for a Texas summer…above 100 degrees.
I was worried that I wouldn’t have much success on this trip due to the extremely hot weather, but I actually caught some good fish and saw a really big snake sitting on a log as well.
My dad joined me on this trip with a Jackson Kayak Liska and I took my Pau Hana Endurance. Just like the Devils River, it was awesome to have my dad with me and we had a lot of fun fishing the Brazos River and catching and seeing all the wildlife that is out there.

Partnership with Trail4Runner.com
Not all may know this, but I use a Toyota 4Runner to take me everywhere and anywhere…including all my fishing destinations. Luckily, I was able to partner with trail4runner.com to share my interest of 4Runners with others. At trail4runner you can find article pertaining to upgrades, tips, and nearly everything related to a 5th Gen 4Runner.
Luckily, I have been fortunate to publish many articles through trail4runner.com and helped many different people on all the various aspects of the 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner.
I hope all of you had a great 2018. Whether you did or not, 2019 is ahead of us…so let’s make the most of it!
Happy 2019!
