One of my favorite rivers to fish is the Llano River. I have paddled and fished several different sections, with my primary destination being the South Llano River near Junction, Texas. For this trip, I decided to try out a new location where the James River and Llano River become one.

The South Llano River is an amazing place. Unfortunately, it took quite a hit from flooding in August of 2018. It still isn’t fully back to normal, but it seems to be recovering quickly. It certainly was nice to see the river getting back to normal and being able to get out on it’s pristine water.

The weekends are a great time for me to spend some time outside. Fishing is one of the many activities I like to do in my free time so if there is a weekend with good weather, there's a good chance I will be out on the water - out on the water catching Guadalupe Bass is even better.

The South Llano River is an amazing river to fish. When you catch Guadalupe Bass that are extremely colorful and fight hard, it makes it hard to want to fish any other river.

In the center of Llano, Texas lies a river that is extremely clear and fed by various springs. The Llano River is one of the most iconic rivers in Texas, with a multitude of fish including our own state fish, the Guadalupe Bass, and many other native Texas fish, such as the Rio Grande Perch.
